The Women’s Environmental Institute (WEI) is hosting a class on Sunday, September 25th featuring Mike Mackiewicz with Bone Lake Meadows Apiary.

With WEI hives, we will do a honey extraction demo in the Apple Barn. This will be a hands-on extraction with free taste tests. Mike will talk about how to keep bees in northern climates, how to winterize hives for the coming months, and what to do in early spring with existing hives or new packages.  Mike will also cover all the do’s and dont’s on extracting and beekeeping. A free soup lunch will be available or bring your own lunch. Join the fun with all your questions. Rain (snow) or shine.
